Donald Ehrnsberger Obituary
Donald E. Ehrnsberger, 90, of Findlay, died Saturday, May 27, 2023, at his residence.
He was born May 20, 1933, in Delphos, the son of Wilbur and Alvera (Etgen) Ehrnsberger. He married Bertha Alspaugh on Aug. 25, 1952, and they divorced in 1975. He then married Leora Guinn on Jan. 21, 1977, and she preceded him in death Aug. 1, 2004.
Donald's survivors include his sons, David, Donald (Candace), and Randy (Betty) Ehrnsberger, all of Lima; daughter, Phyllis Rupert of Van Wert; two stepdaughters, Marianne Baker of Findlay and Pamela (Bill) Humen of Forest; brother, Gary (Kathy) Ehrnsberger of Kalida; 14 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great- grandchildren.
Donald was also preceded in death by his parents; first wife; son, Dennis; three grandchildren; and brother, Kenneth Ehrnsberger.
Don was a 1951 graduate of Fort Jennings High School and had a business management degree from Lincoln Institute, Cleveland. He was a former warehouse foreman at Crane Plumbing, Lima. Don was also a former truck driver for Detroit Ball Bearing, Findlay, and was a retired district manager of the USA Today newspaper, retiring 1995. Don attended St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Findlay, where he sang in the Chancel Choir.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Donald's funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the funeral home with the Rev. Nathan Branim officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.

I´m so sorry to see this about Don passing. Don´s sense of humor was contagious and I loved singing in the chancel choir with him. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word to say.
I was sorry when Don decided to leave our church and go on to bigger and better things. But he will always be remembered as a kind and gentle man with a Great great sense of humor.
Hopefully, Leora and Don are making beautiful music once again...

We were sorry to hear of Don's passing and wish to extend our sympathies to Don's family and friends. We are the children of Charles Ehrnsberger so we were first cousins. We traveled to Germany with Don and Leora. In recognition of Don's passion for genealogy, we are making a donation to the Hancock County Genealogical Society.
