Donald Cullison

Donald Cullison, 80, of Fostoria, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

He was born Nov. 20, 1942, in Risingsun, to Thomas S. and Emma J. (Griffin) Cullison. He married Phyllis Cullison on Dec. 24, 1995, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and she preceded him in death May 7, 2018.

He is survived by his sons, Daniel, Dean, and Darrin Cullison; daughter, Donna Michelle Hendrix; girlfriend, Blanche Bishop of Fostoria; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia Mae Reinhard-Schreiner of Fostoria.

He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Phyllis; son, Dusty Cullison; infant brothers, Robert and Christopher; sister, Evelyn Jean; brother, Thomas "Sonny" Cullison; and stepfather, Cecil Griffin.

Donald retired as an operating engineer and member of the Local 18. He was a member of Fostoria American Legion Post 73, Eagles, 50-year member of the Elks, and former volunteer firemen for Risingsun and Bradner. He served in U.S. Navy. He loved golfing, going camping, and fishing in Michigan and Florida. Don loved spending winters in Florid and dearly loved his dog, Bella, and special lady friend, Blanche Bishop. He was an avid Ohio State fan.

Don's funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2023, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be at Bradner Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
