Donald Brooker Obituary

Donald Ray Brooker

Donald Ray Brooker, 85, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 7:24 p.m. at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

Don was born October 7, 1940, in Findlay, to the late Clifford E and Frances (Coppler) Brooker. He graduated from Findlay High School in 1958. He married Mary Magdalene Riggs February 6, 1960. She preceded him in death May 30, 1991.

Don is survived by his children, Kimberlee (Michael) Deal, Robin Brooker, Lori (James) Wood, Donna (William) Corbin, and Timothy (Cheryle) Brooker; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Kathy L. Brooker.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jackie Margraf, Elmer Brooker, and Charles C. Brooker.

Don was an industrious and hardworking person. He worked at Highway Concrete Pipe, Cooper Tire, various construction jobs, and eventually retired from Findlay City Schools. Don could do anything. He enjoyed yard work and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Don loved NASCAR and often took his children to races.

To Don, family was truly everything. He was a loving husband, and his devotion to his wife, children, and grandchildren could not be beat. Don often put others above himself. He had a huge heart and would help anyone in need. Don was a rock and a hero to his family. He will be sorely missed.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Todd Leslie and Dr. Amy Sloan for their kindness.

Visitation for Don will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating. Burial at Maple Grove Cemetery will follow immediately after.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made in Don's name to City Mission.
