Don Klingler Obituary
Don R. Klingler, 82, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Willow Ridge - Betty House.
Don was born Dec. 23, 1940, in Orange Township, Bluffton, to Columbus and Mildred (Stratton) Klingler. He married Nancy (Mericle) Klingler and she survives.
Don was a graduate of Cory-Rawson High School, was a U.S. Marine serving in Vietnam and attended First United Methodist Church of Bluffton. He retired as an electrician at Ford Motor Company, where he dedicated 47 years of work. He was a member of Bluffton American Legion and Bluffton Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed farming, gardening, and wood carving. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Klingler of Bluffton; three children, Katherine (Kurt) Ramsey of Powell, Kerri (Ryan) Kloeppel of Columbus Grove, and Kent (Tara) Klingler of Worthington; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings, Dorothy Klingler, Gladys Cupples, Jean Powell, and Jim Scott.
Don's services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton, with Pastor Bob Clinger officiating. Burial will be at Thompson Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Northwest Ohio.
