Dianna August Obituary
Dianna August, 64, of Findlay, died at 7:46 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
She was born Jan. 3, 1960, in Columbus, to Frank and Sylvia (Kellett) Compton. She married Earl August on Sept. 8, 1990, and he survives.
Dianna is also survived by her mother, Sylvia Compton of Findlay; daughters, Marianne Dewulf of Findlay, Tammy (Ethan Cheney) Douglas of Findlay, and Amy August of Findlay; brothers, Terry (Roxie) Compton of Marion and Barry (Chris) Compton of Wilmington, North Carolina; and grandchildren, Hunter Douglas and Bailey Douglas.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Compton; and son-in-law, Joshua Douglas.
Dianna retired from delivering newspapers for The Courier after 27 years. She enjoyed attending church, reading the Bible, going to the beach, and doing puzzles, but her greatest joy and love was being with her grandchildren.
Dianna's graveside service will be private at Weaver Cemetery, Bloom Township. A memorial service will be at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice, Salem New Beginnings Church, Findlay, or Basic Truth Church, Cygnet.

Dianna will be greatly missed, as she always had a big smile for everyone. The best thing about Dianna was her love for the Lord. I haven´t talked to her recently, but when we did talk, it was always about the things of God. She was an inspiration, and a Godly woman. I know that she is smiling bigger than ever in the presence of her Lord. I was blessed for knowing her.

Earl, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Dianna was such a sweet lady, and I always enjoyed her company. Although years have passed since I last saw Dianna, I will always remember her with a smile.
