Dennis Hornicak Obituary

I was Dennis' "driver" (He would ask me to 'drive' him places in his wheelchair..). He knew my name up until the very end and would ask for me by name. I know he's pain free now. I miss and love you for wr, bud.

I am so incredibly grateful I got to meet and care for Dennis. He was one of the greatest blessings and the best man to ever come into my life.

From the first day I cared for him at the nursing home, he was a true best friend and like a grandfather to me. He had the biggest, kindest heart and always made me laugh and smile, even when he was in pain. His gentle, caring, and funny spirit reminded me so much of my own grandpa, who he shared that same unique kindness with.

Dennis cared for my daughter and me through my whole pregnancy and beyond, with a love that was truly unwavering. As his daughter wisely said, he was the only man who never disappointed, and that is absolutely true.

I will miss everything about him, even his hilarious stubbornness! He was the sweetest, most wonderful human being, and I will cherish the memories and his unwavering care forever. I know he is finally well and driving his El Camino through heaven with Carole by his side.
