David R. Seibert

David R. Seibert, 75, of West Millgrove, passed away at 2:21 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.

He was born November 8, 1950, in Bowling Green, to the late Philip and Margaret (Beaubien) Seibert. Dave was a lifelong resident of Cygnet. On June 29, 1970, he married Pennie Snyder, who preceded him in death October 3, 2021.

In addition to his wife, Dave was preceded in death by his sisters, Linda and Betty, and his brothers, Rick, Don, Philip, and Thomas.

Dave is survived by his son, David H. (Erica) Seibert of West Millgrove; his daughter, Jennifer (Jamie) Rasp of Fostoria; brothers, John (Phyllis) Seibert of Tennessee and Dale Seibert of Florida; sisters, Terri (Paul) Preston of Jerry City, Barb Swope of Jerry City, Mary Yates of Tipp City, Thelma Bankey of Florida, and Julie Matzinger of Florida; and his brother-in-law, Lewis McGuire of Jerry City. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Dave retired from General Dynamics in Lima and was a former member of Cygnet Volunteer Fire Department. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 73 of Fostoria and VFW in DeBary, Florida.

A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2026, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore. Burial will follow at Jerry City Cemetery, where full military rites will be conducted by Fostoria American Legion Post 73.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore.

Dave will be remembered for his deep love of family, his devotion to his community, and the strong legacy of service and faith he leaves behind through the many generations who knew and loved him.
