David Paul Schultz

David Paul Schultz, 74, of Fostoria, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

He was born Jan. 21, 1949, in Tiffin, to Jacob and Evelyn (Schock) Schultz. He married Denise Curry on July 15, 1989, in Fostoria.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Schultz of Fostoria; daughter, Kelly Welch of Toledo; sons, Joe (Heather) Cline of Fostoria and Brian (Sharla) Cline of Alvada; sisters, Connie Harnish of Fostoria and Mary (Mike) Hoerig of Tiffin; grandchildren, Jordan, Jayden, Julian Welch, Kiley, Marissa, and Aubrey, and Ethan and Aiden Cline; and nephews, David and Tony Clouse.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Schultz; and granddaughter, Sydney Welch.

David retired in 2001 from LaRiche Auto in Findlay and also worked 18 years at General Electric in Tiffin. He was a 1967 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School and attended Tiffin University. He was a member of All Saints Church in New Riegel and was an U.S. Army veteran, serving during Vietnam. David enjoyed camping, working in the yard, and watching his grandchildren play sports. He did the Polar Plunge five times at Camden Falls and enjoyed eight trips to Aruba, a trip to Hawaii, and many trips to Florida. He dearly loved his dogs, Chester, Murphy, Cosby, Bailey, and Chongo.

David's Christian burial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2023, at All Saints Catholic Church, New Riegel, with Father Ron Schock officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery, near New Riegel, with military honors by New Riegel Honor Guard. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude's, Seneca or Wyandot County Humane Society, All Saints Parish, F.A.C.T., or Bridge Hospice.
