David Reza Obituary

David Reza

David Reza, 64, of San Juan Capistrano, California, and formerly of North Baltimore, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, at West Anaheim Medical Center. He was born Jan. 2, 1958, in Findlay, to the late Julio and Alma (Priest) Reza. He married Carola Lueder in 2004, and they were divorced.

David is survived by his daughter, Tricia Reza of Auburn, Washington; sisters, Patricia (Frankie) Hernandez of North Baltimore, Linda (Nolan) Workman of Arizona, and Brenda Roth of Mississippi; brothers, Vince Reza of North Baltimore and Julian (Robin) Reza of Bowling Green; nieces and nephews, Eric (Nicole) Reza, Nicholas Reza, John Reza, Ciara Shepard, Cheyenne Hernandez, Anthony (Jennifer) Hamilton, Billy (Sarah) Hamilton Jr., and Chris Hamilton; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and friend and mentor, Dr. James Roache of California.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Hamilton Sr.

David was a 1977 graduate of North Baltimore High School, and went on to serve our country in Marine Corp from 1977-1980, where he received the Rifle Expert Badge. Following the military, David was employed by Southern California Edison and later worked as a private contractor. David was a member of various organizations during his time in California, which included SASS Cowboy Shoot Club, Cajon Cowboys, Coto Cowboy's, and he participated in the annual San Juan Swallows Parade, riding with the San Juan Cowboy's.

David had a larger than life personality and a big heart. His friends and family described him as a person who was always helping others in any way he could and he never knew a stranger. Through thick and thin, his love for his family never wavered and they always made him proud.

David's funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, where visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. prior to the service. Pastor Scott Estep will officiate. Burial will be at New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore, where full military rites will be conducted by North Baltimore American Legion Post 539.

My Condolences David was a great friend. He introduced me to my husband who also passed away in October of 2022. He taught me patience. Which I had to learn because he talked so Damm much! I love and miss you my friend. I just came back to California because I missed my friends. You will be in my heart always.

You are My Hero!! AND MY BEST FRIEND!! I watched you take your last breath, I haven't been able to swallow since. What is a life, without you in my life. I MISS YOU SO MUCH!! I LOVE YOU MORE THAN WORDS COULD POSSIBLY EXPRESS. God, broke the mold when he made you. I can only figure he needed you more than we did. My sincere condolences to Your Daughter, Your Family and Dr. Roache.
