Darrow Williamson Obituary

Darrow E. "Butch" Williamson

Darrow E. Williamson ("Butch" to everyone) entered into Glory Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay, at the age of 81.

He was born Feb. 18, 1943, to Erma Lucille (Hurlds) Williamson and Harold O. Williamson of Benton Ridge.

Butch married Faylene K. (Faye) Titus on May 1, 1966, at Benton Ridge (then Evangelical United Brethren) Church, and she survives.

In addition, Butch is also survived by his children, Scott (Jenny) Williamson, Robin (David) Boes and Lisa Ann Estep; grandchildren, Matthew (Arielle) Woodruff, Ryan Boes, Erin (Steve) Frable, Mason Estep, Mercedes Williamson, Mitchell Estep, Natalie Williamson and Nathan Williamson; and great-grandsons, Andrew Frable and Armari Sol Oasis Woodruff-Brown, and many beloved nieces and nephews. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Geneva Gfroerer, Harold Gaynel Williamson, Eber Williamson, C. Nancy Saums and Karldean Williamson.

Butch attended Liberty Benton High School and served in Ohio National Guards from 1962 – 1968 with an honorable discharge. He worked at Centrex Corporation for four years and retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company after 32 years of service. He was also a retired member of the Steelworkers Union 207L.

He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Findlay. Butch enjoyed feeding his squirrels, birds, and his Coca-Cola collection. He also enjoyed Westerns on TV and Ohio State games.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at The Armes Family Cancer Center, all the amazing caregivers at Blanchard Valley Hospital and Bridge Hospice Care Center, and a very special thank you to the nurses and therapists at BVH Acute Rehabilitation Unit.

A private memorial will be at a later date. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay, (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with arrangements.
