Dannie Duane Craft
We are heartbroken to share that Dannie Duane Craft, 75, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in the presence of his family, at Solaris Healthcare in Hudson, Florida, following a lengthy illness.
Dan was born March 11, 1949, at his family's home on Dow Street in Carey, Ohio, to the late Wardie and Lucy (Crace) Craft. Dan married Carol Perkins August 22, 1970, at Beech Grove.
He was a 1967 graduate of Carey High School. He earned his Bachelor of Commercial Science in 1971 at Tiffin University and earned his Master's of Business Administration in 1981 from Western Michigan University. He was employed by Whirlpool Corporation for 28 years and worked in their divisions in Findlay, Ohio; Marion, Ohio; the Administrative Center in Benton Harbor, Michigan; and their Deerfield Beach, Florida Sales Division. In May 1984, he was selected as Whirlpool's "Florida Sales Division 1983 National Winner." He was then in sales for LG Electronics and Coinmach Commercial Laundry (now CSC Service Works). He was a member of the United States Army Reserves 1971-1977.
Dan is survived by his wife, Carol, of 54 years; his sons, the Rev. Dr. Dana Duane Craft (Damaris and Noah Daniel) of Guatemala City, Guatemala; and Garrett Michael Craft, PhD. of Tampa, Florida. His grandson, Noah, was truly the delight of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Diana (Don) Dible of Carey; his brother, Darrell Craft of Findlay; brothers-in-law, Carl Perkins (Loretta) of Forest, Benson (Linda) Perkins of Carey, Burton (Wendy) Perkins of Upper Sandusky, Allen Perkins of Sycamore, and Jesse (Janice) Gump of Hicksville; and sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Ed) Stevens of Hilliard and Connie (Bill) Perkins of Carey. Dan was the proud uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Dan in death were his brother, Edward Eugene Craft (Beverly) of LaPlata, Maryland; his sister, Janice A. Gump, Hicksville, Ohio; and brothers-in-law, Arlis Perkins of Forest, Ellis (Lynetta) Perkins of Findlay, Bill (Connie) Perkins of Carey, Dave (Phyllis) Hatch of Findlay; and sisters-in-law, Phyllis Hatch of Findlay, Claire (Darrell) Craft of Gahanna, Lynetta Perkins of Findlay, and Beverly Craft of LaPlata, Maryland.
