Daniel Calvelage Obituary
Daniel B. Calvelage, 69, of Delphos, passed away at 1:06 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2025, at Kindred Hospital, Lima.
He was born January 20, 1956, in Lima to Wilfred G. and Elda M. (Falke) Calvelage who both preceded him in death. On August 29, 2009, he married Linda M. (Schroeder) Calvelage who survives in Delphos. Dan is survived by his in-laws, Stephen (Jane) Schroeder and Michael (Sue) Schroeder both of Findlay, Charlie (Natalie) Schroeder of Cape Coral, Florida and Karen (Doug) Schroeder of Ottawa.
Dan was a 1974 graduate of Delphos St. John's High School. He worked for 16 years at New Delphos Manufacturing Plant in Delphos. After their closing, he then worked at Federal-Mogul Corp – National Seal facility in Van Wert for over 22 years. Upon retirement, he and Linda traveled all over the USA, Canada, and Ireland. He was a member of Delphos St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St John Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be at 7:45 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Parish Foundation or the teacher's endowment fund.
