Craig Roberts Obituary
Craig E. Roberts, 52, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022.
Craig was born Nov. 7, 1970, to David E. and Carol J. (Johnston) Roberts of rural Findlay. Craig graduated from Vanlue Local School in 1989 and then spent 13 years working at Vanlue Grain Elevator (Heritage Co-op). Following that, he spent 15 years working for Blanchard Valley Farmers/Legacy Co-op. Craig loved farming and knew it well. He also enjoyed doing woodworking and electrical projects. He could fix anything. For the last five years, he has done maintenance work for Blanchard Valley Health Systems.
Craig met Connie J. Lewis on a blind date and a few years later, they married Nov. 19, 2011. Their strengths and weaknesses complimented each other. They have one daughter, Grace. Craig was an active member of First Baptist Church, taking care of the financial records for several years.
Craig was preceded in death by his father and best friend, David E. Roberts; and grandparents, H. Avon and Bernice M. Roberts and Stanley G. and Cleo E. Johnston.
Craig is survived by his wife; daughter; mother; sister, Tonita K. (Brian) Altvater and their family; brother-in-law, R. Scott (Sarah) Lewis and their family; and sister-in-law, Lisa (Mike) Best.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Craig's funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Maskell officiating. Burial will follow at Van Horn Cemetery.
