Connie Sue Thomas

Connie Sue Thomas, 75, of Arlington, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025. She was born in Bluffton, October 21, 1950, to Franklin and Neva (Bibler) Livingston. Connie married Tom Thomas, June 6, 1970, and he survives, along with four children, Cindy (Tony) Boyd of Cleveland, Brian (Tammy) Thomas of Bowling Green, Tim (Peggy) Thomas of Arlington and Carrie (Curt) Chunat of Alliance. Connie is also survived by nine grandchildren, Malinda, Allison (Chris), Ryan, Ryder, Sidney, Mallory, Eli, Andy, and Jonathon; brothers, Dennis (Candy) Livingston of Upper Sandusky, John (Kay) Livingston of Arlington, Ronald Livingston of Cridersville and a sister, Denise (Craig) Durliat of Arlington.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Danny Joe.

Connie was a 1968 graduate of Riverdale High School and a lifetime member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, serving as church treasurer. She worked at Marathon Oil Company and was a Creative Memories consultant, retiring in 2014. She was a huge supporter of Riverdale and Alliance High School Show Choirs, where she was known as Grandma Connie. For many years, she enjoyed putting up her Christmas light display and was affectionately known as the Christmas light queen. Connie enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and canning, and often used those skills to give to others. Connie was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and was a former member of Arlington Young Farmers.

Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2025, at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington, and 9:30-10 a.m. Saturday. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Arlington, with Pastor Al Schnipke officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery.
