Colleen Amstutz Obituary
Colleen Ann Amstutz, 87, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
Colleen was born Oct. 5, 1935, in Van Wert, to Willis and Helen (Baum) Cummins. She married Lowell Amstutz on Oct. 18, 1953, and he preceded her in death Oct. 31, 2013.
Colleen was a 1953 graduate of Bluffton High School and retired from Bluffton Hospital where she was a medical transcriptionist for 30 years. She was a life-member of First United Methodist Church, Bluffton. Colleen enjoyed knitting, sewing, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Colleen's survivors include seven children, Diana Amstutz of Pandora, Cheryl (Roger) Watkins of Browns Mills, New Jersey, Kim (John) Thomas of Free Soil, Michigan, Robin (Michael) Hicks of Bluffton, Mark A. Amstutz of Findlay, Michael K. (Kathie) Amstutz of Bluffton, and Steven (Elaine) Amstutz of Columbus Grove; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Colleen was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Raymond L. Cummins; and daughter-in-law, Lorie Amstutz.
Colleen's service will be 12 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Private burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Angels for Animals.
