Cleo Barto Obituary
Cleo "Tony" Barto, 82, of Findlay and formerly of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 11, 2022, at Elmwood at The Shawhan.
He was born Aug. 13, 1940, in Tiffin, to Warren and Lula (Stiles) Barto. He married Pamela Sue Farrell on July 4, 1993, and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Scott (Marie) Barto of Tiffin; daughters, Kathy Conley, Jackie Merchant, and Beth Paradiso, all of Tiffin, Sherrie (Richard) Bryant of Tennesseee, Rebecca (Shawn) Umbrell of Kentucky, and Christina Rodgers of Tiffin; brother, Lloyd (Donna) Barto Sr. of Tiffin; sister, Dolores Runion of Tiffin; 24 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Edith, Glenna, Thelma, and Anna; granddaughter, Chelsy Barto; and great-grandson, William Halbert.
Tony was a graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and Owens Community College. He was an engineer for the railroad. Tony was an associate member of F.V.W, Findlay, and Flag City Classics Car Club. He loved showing his 1966 Corvette at area car shows, working on cars, going to car shows with his buddies, woodworking, and his favorite holiday was Halloween.
Tony's funeral will be 12 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Pastor Stephanie Little officiating.
Friends may visit with the family 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
