Chris W. Faine

Chris W. Faine, 67, of Columbus and formerly of Mt. Cory, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, at Whetstone Rehabilitation Center in Columbus.

Chris was born Dec. 11, 1954, in Bluffton, to the late John and Dora Deane (Wells) Faine. He married Patricia Hall Faine on July 22, 2004, and she survives.

Chris graduated from Cory-Rawson High School and later The Ohio State University and received his juris doctorate with honors from University of Toledo. He retired as a corporate attorney working for Marathon, Roadway Express, and Chemical Abstract in Columbus. Chris was a member of Bethel International United Methodist Church, Columbus. Chris was a very giving and generous person who was loved by many and was always a great listener. He loved genealogy, antiques, garage sales, going to the beach, water-skiing, boating, and watching Ohio State Buckeyes. Most of all, Chris enjoyed spending time with his family.

Chris' survivors include his wife, Patricia Faine of Columbus; daughter, Katelyn Faine of Columbus; brother, Joe (Brenda) Faine of Findlay; two sisters-in-laws, Jodi Faine of Bluffton and Tina Faine of McKinney, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Chris was preceded in death by two brothers, William "Bill" Faine and Michael Faine.

Chris' celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Private burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
