Charles O'Neill Obituary

Charles "Skip" O'Neill

Charles "Skip" O'Neill, 85, of Fostoria, moved on from this life Thursday, June 1, 2023, at St. Catherine's Manor of Fostoria.

He was born Aug. 11, 1937, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Charles Bush and Ruth Gertrude (Schlegel) O'Neill. He married Mary Elizabeth Howe on Aug. 23, 1958, in Tecumseh, Michigan.

Skip is survived by a son, Charles Brian O'Neill; grandchildren, Jeffrey Zellner, Gregory Zellner, Clayton O'Neill, and Regan O'Neill Everhart; and great-grandchildren, Owen Zellner, Amelia Zellner, and Cooper Zellner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Catherine Lynn Zellner; and two brothers, Ronald O'Neill and Robert O'Neill.

Skip worked for Atlas Crankshaft, Fostoria, and retired from Cummins in Columbus, Indiana, where he worked in corporate finance. He was a man of deep faith who was a life-long member of the Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon and elder and sang in the choir. His love for his entire family was endless, and he always held his friends close to his heart. He refreshed his soul with his passion for music and books. Most of all, he will be remembered by all who knew him for his wonderful sense of humor.

Skip's celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2023, at First Presbyterian Church in Fostoria with the Rev. Robert Butcher presiding. Military honors will be provided by United Veterans of Fostoria Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are being handled by Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830.
