Carolyn Hough Obituary
Carolyn "Kay" (Haley) Hough, 85, formerly of Arcadia, passed away peacefully Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024.
Carolyn, mostly known as "Kay," was born March 30, 1938, the third child of Thomas Wilson Haley and Florence May (Davis) Haley. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Warren Hough Jr., on Nov. 6, 1955, and he preceded her in death.
Kay is survived by her children, Fred (Roberta Anspach) Hough of Findlay, Dixie (Hough) Boss-Hummel (Tim Hummel) of Ada, and Marty (Jennylyn (Aguja)) Hough of Findlay; grandchildren, Mike (Mindy) Hough, Joe (Tanya) Hough, Andrea Wyant, Patti (John) Miller, Kaylynn (Ross) Carpenter, Jeremiah (Chelsea) Boss-Hummel, Carson Hummel, Beanna (Joe) Meyers, Taylor (Greg) Diller, and Audrey Hummel; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; and daughter, Teresa Marie Hough.
Kay was a member of the Findlay High School Class of 1956. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Her true passion was working in her flower beds. Kay mastered the art of perennial gardening, wildflowers, and fresh-cut flower gardening. Some of her greatest joys in life was traveling to Europe with her siblings and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, until the time of Kay's funeral at 3 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 W. Sandusky Street, Findlay, with Pastor Gregg Fox officiating. Interment will be at Bechtel Cemetery at a later date.
Contributions in Kay's memory may be made directly to Coldren-Crates Funeral Home.
