Carol A. Hauzie

Carol A. (Harrigan) Hauzie, 77, of Findlay passed away peacefully at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 15, 1947, in Spangler, Pennsylvania to the late Myles "Happy" Harrigan and Margaret (Roberts) Harrigan. She married her high school sweetheart Robert Hauzie on April 29, 1967, and he survives.

Carol is also survived by her sons, Rob (Karen) Hauzie of Twinsburg and Craig (Lindsey) Hauzie of Westerville; her beloved grandchildren, April, Vanessa, Claire and Evan Hauzie; and a sister-in-law, Mary Harrigan of Staunton, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Patrick; her brother, Arthur Harrigan; sister, Drinda Harrigan; and niece, Drinan McCombie.

Carol was a graduate of Northern Cambria High School in Pennsylvania, where she was a proud majorette in the marching band. She began her career as a secretary at Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) in Washington D.C. before returning to Northern Cambria High School in a similar role. After dedicating herself to raising her family as a homemaker, she later worked in sales at Jin's Fashions and Thomas Jewelers in Findlay for many years. Carol enjoyed and had a passion for traveling, especially to Hilton Head, South Carolina and anywhere her grandchildren had dance competitions or soccer games.

Visitation for family and friends will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.

Carol's funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. An additional visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday before the funeral service. Her burial will be at Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Patient Services, Findlay or Armes Cancer Care Center, Findlay.
