Carol Lorraine Fox Gradler

Carol Lorraine Fox Gradler, 89, of Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, in Findlay. She was born Dec. 28, 1932, the daughter of the late Wilmer E. and Eliza (O'Donnell) Fox.

Carol was a 1950 graduate of Ramsey High School and a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1954. She started her career as an elementary teacher in the Connellsville school system from 1954-1958. Carol then joined her husband and his parents at Gradler Studio of Photography. In 1973, she and her husband, Jack, purchased and operated the business until 1994. Carol was a member of St. Pius X R.C. church where she volunteered often, but most notable were her years spent teaching second-grade CCD classes and her active membership in the church choir.

She is survived by her son, Frank A. Gradler II and his wife, Dolores Gradler of Greensburg; daughter, Dr. Mary Beth Dillon and her husband, Dr. Thomas H. Dillon of Findlay; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Gradler (2003); and her brothers, Wilmer E. Fox Jr. (2004) and Donnell H. Fox (2019).

Friends will be received 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, at GALONE â€" CARUSO Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. Interment will be private. The family wishes to thank the hospice team from Bridge Home Health and Hospice in Findlay for their compassionate care and assistance.
