Carl Betts Obituary
Carl F. Betts, 96, passed away Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green.
Carl was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Rising Sun, to Harley Ray Betts and Ethel Adelia (Norman).
Carl married Mary Ruth (Lauck) on May 29, 1947. Mary Ruth passed away Nov. 27, 2009. Carl loved farming and most of all, just being outdoors, either working around the farm or being in his woods. He retired from United Aircraft in Forest. He was also a regular blood donor to the Red Cross, having achieved numerous milestone donations.
He is survived by his son, C. Michael (Sue) Betts of Arcadia; daughters, Jennifer (Lester) Moser of Arlington, Bonnie Sica of Findlay, Debra (Gary) Bowman of Mt. Blanchard, Sally (Miles) Burson of Forest, Elaine Nichols of London, Holly (Ritch) Ramey of Marion, and Peggy Nigh of Van Buren; 26 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Lafferty of Arlington and Mary Schindler of Findlay; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Carl was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ray Otis, Clarence, Edward, Howard, and Robert; sister, Janet Stockmaster; grandson, Jeff Sica; and son-in-law, Fred Sica.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023, and 9:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2023, until the time of Carl's funeral at 10:30 a.m., all at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 West Sandusky Street, Findlay. The Rev. Brett Kelly of Mt. Blanchard United Methodist Church will preside.
Memorial contributions in Carl's memory may be directed to Bridge Home Health and Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay, Ohio, 45840, or Riverdale FFA, 20613 State Route 37, Mt. Blanchard, Ohio, 45867.

To the Sica family and other Betts family members, we send our condolences. Bob remembers working with Carl at UAP in Forest. He remembers him as being a hard worker and nice guy who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
