Brooks Gray

Brooks Gray, 55, of Findlay, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at home.

Brooks was born June 2, 1968, in Findlay, to Michael and Diana (Walters) Gray. He married Melinda Gossman and they had two children, Alexis Gray and Blake Gray. They later divorced and he married Lisa Hooley and she survives him.

Brooks is also survived by his mother, Diana Gray of Findlay; children, Alexis Gray of Orlando, Florida, and Blake Gray of Findlay; brother, Brad (Shelley) Gray of Findlay; and stepchildren, Ashley Rickle of Columbus and Tanner Rickle of Findlay.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Gray.

Brooks graduated from Findlay High School in 1986 and then went on to The University of Findlay, where he received his bachelor's degree in Business Finance. He worked for several banks in the Findlay area, most recently Old Fort Bank as a Commercial Lender.

He was a member of Findlay Amateur Hockey Association. His love of hockey began as a young man when he played for the Findlay Amateur Team and has continued throughout the years as a parent and as a coach of his son's team. Brooks took part in the local Big Brothers and Big Sisters mentoring program as well as being a part of Findlay Rotary Club. Brooks always enjoyed being an avid Michigan fan, watching the games and cheering on his team.

Visitation for family and friends will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, 2023, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay. Brooks' service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at the funeral home with the Rev. Kelly Sterling officiating.
