Bonnie Price Obituary

Bonnie Jean Price

Bonnie "Jean" (Almy) Price, 91, of Findlay, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

She was born Dec. 4, 1932, in Delaware Township, to Earl Dean Almy and Velma May (Eatherton) Almy. Jean attended Mt. Blanchard Schools for 12 years, where she participated in Future Homemakers of America, cheerleading, and Yearbook staff. She graduated in 1950.

After graduation, she worked as a bookkeeper at Wards Refrigeration and then as a secretary at Ohio Oil Company.

Jean married Elsworth R. Price "Jr." on June 15, 1951. Jean and Jr. enjoyed 72 years of marriage.

Jean had a passion for genealogy and did extensive research of all branches of her family. She spent many summers with her family at their cabin on Big LaSalle Island in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Jean was wholly devoted to her husband and daughters. She loved and was loved by her sons-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her smile and laugh warmed the heart. She was a phenomenal cook - wild game and chicken and noodles were her specialties. She had a secret ingredient for her famous white cake, which will remain in the family.

She is survived by her daughters, Gwendolyn Kay (Doug) Schmidt and Lori Jo Schutt; grandchildren, Kristopher (Rhonda) Schutt, Jana (Patrick) Miseta, Jill Frantz, Mike (Galia) Schmidt, Zac (Jess Franklin) Schmidt, and Jordan (Cait) Schutt; and great-grandchildren, Nina Schutt, Jackson Frantz, Ethan Miseta, Alex Frantz, and Eden Schutt.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Elsworth Raymond Price Jr.; parents; sister, Anita Joann (Almy) Weihrauch; and son-in-law, Rev. Thomas Schutt.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 W. Sandusky St., Findlay, Ohio, 45840. Additional visitation will be 10-10:30 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2024, at the funeral home. Jean's graveside service will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
