Blair Breece

Blair E. Breece, 83, of McComb, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. He was born June 28, 1942, in Deshler, the son of the late Arthur Breece and Mary Farquharson of Deshler. On November 3, 1962, he married Nancy Shoemaker, who survives in McComb. They were married for 62 years, 8 months to the date of his passing.

Survivors include his sons, Scott (Andrea) Breece of McComb and Bradley (Laura) Breece of Alvada; a daughter, Kathy (Ed) Parrish of Millersport; sisters, Candy Van Gundy of Findlay, Cheryl Buck of McComb, and Joan (Jim) Holland of Van Wert. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jordan (Vanessa) Breece, Eric Parrish, Joshua (Aly) Breece, Michaela (Geoffrey) Norris, Caleb (Sidney) Breece, Zachary (Katelyn) Breece, Jared (Olivia) Breece, Abigail (Kyle) Downard; and eight great-grandchildren, Ava, Elijah, Daxton, Maveryc, Tripp, Jackson, Lydia and Amelia.

Blair was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Breece; a grandson, Joseph Parrish; two brothers, John and Philip Breece; and two sisters, March Bean and Romaine Ruggiero.

Blair enjoyed farming and raising purebred chester white hogs from farrow to finish. He ran B&C Concessions, traveling to various fairs around the area for 20 years, going to festivals, and to any Wayne Farthing Auction. Blair loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events and seeing their various fair projects. He also worked as a cook for Hancock Pork Producers during the fair. He loved basketball and enjoyed taking his grandchildren to state basketball tournaments. Blair never missed a state basketball tournament from 1972 to 2018. He was also a huge fan of NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon.

Visitation for Blair will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2025, with Pastor Paul Rutledge officiating at the funeral home. Burial will follow at McComb Union Cemetery.

Memorial contribu-tions may be directed to Nationwide Children's Hospital.
