Beverly Jean Ziegler

Beverly Jean Ziegler, 94, of North Baltimore, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Briarhill Health Campus in North Baltimore. She was born September 6, 1930, in Fostoria to Sherman and Margarete (Jacobs) Roose. She married Dale Ziegler on June 16, 1951, in Fostoria. He passed away August 6, 2009.

She is survived by her sons, Larry (Terrie) Ziegler of Northwood and Kevin (Gayleen) Ziegler of Bloomdale; brother, Sherman (Mary) Roose of Mesa, Arizona; grandchildren, Kevin (Nichole) Ziegler, Matthew (Kelly) Ziegler, Sandra (Ashley) Ziegler, Candice (Rodney) Brown, Kyle (Michelle) Ziegler, Stacy (AJ) Freund, Laryn (Jeff) Wheeler, and Lisa (Corey) Maciejewski; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Bev is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Beverly retired in 1995 after 23 years as an elementary teacher for Fostoria City Schools. She was a member of the Union United Methodist Church, a 1948 graduate of Fostoria High School, and a 1973 graduate of BGSU. She was a member of the Fostoria Women's Club, United Women's Group, and Red Hat Club and volunteered at Wood County Historical Museum and Fostoria City Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2025 at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. Gus Christo-Baker officiating. Burial will be at Weaver Cemetery near Bloomdale. Visitation will be 10-12 p.m. prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
