Beverly Hasselswerth Obituary
Beverly J. Hasselswerth, 86, of Defiance, died peacefully Friday, June 13, 2025. She was born March 5, 1939, in Kenton, Ohio, to the late Ralph and Naomi (Graboe) Wise. Beverly was a 1957 graduate of Cory Rawson High School and August 30, 1987, married the love of her life, Harley Hasselswerth.
Beverly was self-employed with her cleaning business, Bev's Cleaning Service. She enjoyed reading, embroidery, adult coloring books, and traveling. Friends describe her as a "people person" and one who never knew a stranger.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Harley Hasselswerth; children, Gary (Yvonne) Bibler, Eric Bibler, Cara Bibler, and Kimberly (William) Foege; grandchildren, Joshua Haynes, William Bibler, Eletha Sutton, Angela Bibler, Danielle Foege, and Erin Foege; great-grandchildren, Charles Drown and Waylon Drown; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Richard Wise; and sisters, Barbara Stover and Janet Shulaw.
Visitation will be from 11-12 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Ayersville Community Church, 27728 Ayersville Pleasant Bend Rd, Defiance, OH 43512. Funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. at the church, with Pastor Jason Vandemark officiating.
Flowers may be delivered to the church Thursday between 9-11 a.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the church in honor of Beverly. Bev's family would like to thank The Laurels of Defiance for the care she received from January of this year until her passing.

Bev was a complete joy when I had the honor to drive her to see her husband when he was in the hospital. We had wonderful chats concerning life, marriage, children and our love of God. I cherished her words of wisdom and laughter!
