Betty Roberson Obituary

Betty Louise Roberson

Mrs. Betty Louise Roberson, 93, most recently of Theodosia, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Passion and Purpose Homecare Assisted Living for our SENIORS in Murray, Kentucky.

Betty was born Sept. 23, 1930, in Dietrich, Illinois, to George Henry Koop and Rose Cathorine Deters Koop. She grew up in a tight-knit Illinois farming community raised in the Catholic faith. The love of her life was her husband, Curly, and her five children, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Curly and Betty lived in Findlay for over 20 years. In her family, hugs were plentiful, love was given freely, and the door was always open. She was an amazing cook, even creating a cookbook of favorite recipes for her children! When you sat at her table, you never went hungry. Her rules included never wearing a hat at the table, being on time for meals, and saying grace before eating. Dessert was always available from her homemade cookies, pies, and cakes to her favorite drumstick ice cream treat. Raised in the depression, she learned early how to stretch a budget from canning to making homemade breads and pastas. Holidays, especially birthdays, included favorite foods, stories, and handmade crocheted Afghans, quilts, and needlework. In her spare time, she went across the country in an Airstream RV, played cards on the computer, solved word puzzles, and watched her favorite TV shows. And she was a mean dominoes player!

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Georgianna Rose Koop, Loretta Lucille Koop, and Lorene Marie Koop; and granddaughter, Amanda Christine Roberson.

Betty's survivors include her husband, Elmer "Curly" Allen Roberson, who was the love of her life for 75 years; children, Cathy Lynn Roberson Clark and husband Michael of Murray, Kentucky, Marc Allen Roberson and wife Denise of Powell, Wyoming, Dana Louise Roberson Guerra of Ozark, Missouri, Bruce Michael Roberson of Midwest, Wyoming, and Lori Suzanne Roberson of Springfield, Missouri. She was "Memo" to her grandchildren, Ryan Matthew Clark and wife Krista, Ross Alan Clark, Rhett Daniel Clark and wife Tori, Cody William Roberson-Kale and wife Melanie, Gianna Louise Guerra, Daniel James Raphaelle Guerra, Lucas Tate Roberson, and Kristyanna Marie Roberson; and great-grandchildren, Jayden Michael Roberson, Tatum Rose Roberson, Brier Barrett Clark, Paxton Allen Knoxx Roberson, Joel Anthony Roberson, Landon James Clark, Sadie Camryn Roberson-Kale, and Levi Michael Clark.

There will be no public service or visitation at this time.
