Betty Jean Gruber

Betty Jean Gruber, 79, of Findlay was reunited with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

Betty was born July 1, 1942, in Findlay, Ohio, to the late Harold and Bertha (Schille) Christopher. She married the love of her life, Raymond Gruber, on July 16, 1960, at St. Paul United Brethren Church in Findlay and he survives in Findlay after 61 years of marriage. Also surviving are her children, Cheryl Gruber of Findlay, Raymond (Jolene) Gruber of Findlay, David (Wendy) Gruber of Twin Lake, Michigan, Chrissy Gruber of Findlay, and Jason Proehl Jr. of Findlay; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia Thomas. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Harold and James Christopher, and Shirley Sapp.

Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and friend. She loved spending time in her garden and planting her beautiful flowers. Betty had a heart of gold. She was kind-hearted, gentle, and would help anyone in a time of need. Betty loved the Lord. She devoted herself to reading scripture, praying, and sharing the love of Jesus with those she came in contact with.

A time of gathering will take place in Betty's honor on Saturday, July 2, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Hanneman Funeral Home, 201 Osborn Ave., Findlay, Ohio, 45840.
