Betty Boney Obituary

Betty Jane Boney

Betty Jane Boney, 97, of Burlington, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at her home surrounded by family.

Betty was born March 20, 1925, in Findlay, the daughter of Warren D. and Margaret Anderson Rogers. She married Robert Money on Dec. 18, 1946, in North Baltimore, and he preceded her in death Nov. 14, 1971.

She worked as a food server for Blackhawk Elementary and worked at Keystone for 33 years.

Betty was a member of Divine Mercy Parish St. John's Catholic Church. She loved being outside, gardening, and hanging laundry on the clothesline. She loved to cook, decorate, and was very creative. Betty enjoyed working on arts and crafts.

Betty's survivors include four sons, Michael (Norma) Boney of Burlington, Iowa, Stephen (Diane) Boney of Greer, South Carolina, Timothy Boney of Burlington, and Patrick Boney of Burlington; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband of 24 years, she was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Phylis Robnolte; and grandson, Curt Watts.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

A private family burial will be at a later date.

always enjoyed being around betty as a kid when i visited and when i saw her at keystone,she always made me feel welcome,,,,,even when pat and i were up to no good....sorry for your loss boney family .
