Beth Marie Hardesty

Beth Marie Hardesty, 56, of Findlay, died at 11:16 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

She was born Oct. 21, 1966, in Findlay, to Derrill and Julia (Hinkle) Arnold. She married Lee Alan Hardesty on June 22, 2013, and he survives.

Beth is survived by her parents who live in Vanlue; sons, Brandon (Mackenzie) Shanahan of Pearland, Texas, Justin Shanahan of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Jake Hardesty of Cincinnati; daughters, Jacey (fiancee, Zachary Schatz) Hardesty of Troy, Ohio, and Julia Hardesty of Findlay; brother, Gregg (Martha) Arnold of Alvada; sisters, Teresa (Rick) Schuerman of Woodsfield, Ohio, and Janet (David) Schuerman of Woodsfield; grandchildren, Delaney Shanahan, Margot Shanahan, and Malakai Schatz; and several nieces and nephews.

Beth was a 1985 graduate of Vanlue High School where she enjoyed basketball, band, cheerleading, National Honor Society, and just going to a small school. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising in 1989 from Bowling Green State University. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Findlay Service League, school volunteer on both the PTO Board at Donnell and Ohio Reads Program, club soccer team manager, and an ALS advocate in Washington D.C. She was Operations Manager at the Lions Store, a client relationship manager and I9 Sales Rep at ADP, and a recruiter for TriWorth.

Beth enjoyed watching her kids play sports, traveling (especially anywhere that included a beach), reading, playing the piano, listening to Justin and her mother play the piano, tailgating with the college kids at their universities, taking walks hand in hand with Lee, helping others, being with family on any vacation, going to church, or sharing a glass of wine with her girlfriends.

Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 West Sandusky Street, Findlay. Beth's funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Cochran will officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in West Independence.

Memorials may be given to The ALS Association Central & Southern Ohio Chapter, 1170 Old Henderson Rd., Columbus, Ohio, 43220, or First Lutheran Church, 109 East Lincoln Street, Findlay, Ohio. Online condolences are welcomed at www.coldrencrates.com.

I am so sorry for your loss. I only know Beth from picking her shopping orders. But she was a beautiful and kind person. Now I know her mom, Julia, from the salon CHD, and see where her beauty and kindness came from. My prayers go out to you and your family during this sad time.
