Bennett M. McCoy

Bennett M. McCoy, 72, of Findlay, passed away Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 13, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, to James C. and Gladys O. (Mohr) McCoy.

Bennett retired from Cooper Tire in 2012. He played drums in various local bands including Raging Storm IV, Nite Watchman, Hog Creek Rhythym Band, and Rajun Kajun Band. He enjoyed watching football, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns.

He is survived by a son, Eric (Kelly) McCoy of Hickory, North Carolina; daughter, April McCoy of Hickory, North Carolina; sister, Winnetta Saum of North Baltimore; and four grandchildren.

Bennett was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Bev, Judy, Brenda, and Becky.

No services have been planned at this time.

COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, has been entrusted with his care.
