Becky Grohoske Obituary

Becky Jo Kuhlman Grohoske

We celebrate the beautiful life of Becky Jo Kuhlman Grohoske, who died Saturday evening, Sept. 7, 2024.

She was born in Lima, Ohio to Edward Tierney and Freida Crawford. She was the eldest of three children. Becky was married to her sweetheart, Jerry Grohoske, for 31 years. They lived in Findlay, retired to the beach in Bradenton, Florida for 11 years, and then moved to Tennessee to live out their days together near family. Becky was gifted with immense talent and drive pursuing excellence in everything that she touched. She was an interior designer by trade, but never viewed her skills as a job or a career. Her sincerity for people cultivated trust and loyalty that bloomed into life-long friendships.

As a friend, she was valued and cherished, speaking truth without flattery or fluff. She generously gave time and her laughter that enlightened the room. Her friends remember her love for Diet Coke, Gaither's Homecoming concerts, and daily desserts that she protected with her life and her fork. Her love for art, music, and flowers was a constant part of her life. While raising six children, her presence was dependable without fail. She was affectionate, loving, and always protective while remarkably rarely missing an event in their lives. It was so important to her to have dinner together around the table as much as possible, sharing with one another. She had said many times that raising six children was "so much fun."

She prayed for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren faithfully while always hoping for a new baby to come along to spoil. She loved her Heavenly Father with all of her heart and her faith in Him could not be squelched by the trials that life brought. Together, they won the battle with breast cancer and 20-year battle with Parkinson's disease on Sept. 7, 2024.

Becky is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Jerry Grohoske; children, Mike Kuhlman (Jenny), Tammy Pickett, Kim Stevenson (Jim), LeaAnn Altizer, Rick Kuhlman (Amanda), Jay Kuhlman (Page), Jan Grohoske (Angie), and Mark Grohoske; grandchildren, McKenzie Kuhlman, Jaclyn Reiselt (Ryan), Jennifer Parks (Adam), Sydney Pickett, Lexi Pickett, Michael Stevenson (Rachel), Abby Montgomery (Jadon), Nelson Stevenson, Micah Hall (William), Eric Altizer, Ellie Grohoske, Enzo Kuhlman, Luciano Kuhlman, Beck Kuhlman, Pacey Kuhlman, and Finn Kuhlman; great-grandchildren, Colton Reiselt, Tayden Pereda, Everly Pereda, and Levi Hall; and brother, Doug Staas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robby Kuhlman; brother, John Staas; and sister-in-law, Kathie Staas.

Her life, WELL-LIVED, is celebrated. She was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend.

Becky gave me my first job! I babysat all her children while she went to LVN school in BG. They were a special family. Sorry for your loss! I tried to look her up the last time I was in Findlay but didn't realize she had moved to Tennessee. Love and prayers to all of you! Diana ( Kinn) Sherick

Oh my...it´s been years. I used to style Becky´s hair, many years ago. She was a WONDERFUL lady. Very talented in so many ways. A real sweetie. This is silly, but I remember talking to her about make-up, then one evening, when she was my last client, I washed off my make-up on one side....she couldn´t believe the difference.
I remember, Tom and I getting our home outside of Findlay...she picked out the paper, then came out and PAPERED the family room. I cut and pasted, and she hung it.
I remembered going to her home, and all the beautiful antiques...just enough... and her serving lemonade. Then her home in "downtown" Van Buren.
To be honest, don´t remember the time in between, but I did run into her once, and it was like awesome to see her.
I´m sending hugs, and prayers. God has a special lady with him, and she is healthy.
Lots of love.
