Arthur Lerma

Arthur H. Lerma, 73, of Findlay, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born in Findlay, January 23, 1952, to Juanita (Peguero) and Baldomera Lerma.

Art attended Findlay City Schools and graduated in 1971. He attended Andrew Barber College in Toledo and earned his barber's license. Art met his wife while in Toledo, and after their wedding, they moved to Findlay. He spent the next 33 years working as a lab tech to radial room supervisor. After he retired from Cooper, he started kidney dialysis. The family would like to thank the workers at U.S. Renal Care for their dedication and support.

Art was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Emilia de la Pena, Gracie (Denny) Rissler, Sylvia Hall (Bill); and a brother, Mario.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, of 52 years; his brother, Julio de la Pena (Jean); his daughter, Jennifer; his son, Brian (Gabriele); plus many nieces and nephews that he was proud to be their uncle.

Art enjoyed gardening, all things Halloween and Christmas, but his true joy and happiness came from his only grandson, Victor. He loved spending time with him. He was also an honorary grandpa to Trenton, Claire, and Caroline.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Bright Road, where visitation will be one hour (11 a.m.- noon) prior to service. Father Adam Hertzfeld, Celebrant.

Burial will be at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery, Findlay.
