Alfredo Perez Obituary
Alfredo Perez, 66, of Fostoria, passed away at 1:53 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2023, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.
He was born Nov. 11, 1956, in Weslaco, Texas, to Francisco and Olivia (Villagrana) Perez, and they survive in Texas.
Alfredo is also survived by his wife, Cheryl Perez; children, Alejandro (Leticia) Perez of Fostoria and Talyssa Perez of Fostoria; stepchildren, Cara (Josh) Shuh of Bowling Green, Caitlyn Johnson of Fostoria, and Andrew Derck of Fostoria; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; seven brothers; and two sisters.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Alfredo was a Local 18 member and whereas he spent most of his time working, he also found pleasure in his leisure time doing woodworking and re-purposing pieces. He also enjoyed playing volleyball, working in the yard, watching NASCAR, NHRA, a good cigar, and glass of Wild Turkey.
Alfredo was a very caring and loving man who would do anything for anyone. He especially loved his grandkids and was a wonderful grandfather.
Memorial visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023, at MANN-HARE-HOENING Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Lymphoma Society.

I miss my Friday evening weekly conversations with my life long friend from our childhood working the fields for Mr Holcombe & Mr Black through out our school years. I'm glad I got to know Fostoria, Ohio while stationed in Monclova, Ohio USAR.

My condolences to all the family of my life long friend who I always admired for the perfectionist that he was all his life. Every project he tackled was exampliary. He would of been a great soldier and then again, that he was because he loved this country so much. RIP my friend.
