Alexander Turner Obituary

Alexander Raymond Turner

Alexander Raymond Turner, 51, of Fostoria, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2024, at his home. He was born April 26, 1973, in Tiffin to Ira H Turner Jr. & Roberta Estrada. Alex married Anna Turner, August 28, 1998, in Tiffin.

He is survived by his parents, Ira Turner Jr. & Roberta Estrada; wife, Anna Turner; sons, Gabriel, (Alexzandra) Turner and Jordan Fuller; daughter, Alexis (Anthony "Skip" Thomas) Turner; brother, Ira (Lindsay) Turner III; sisters, Raquel Turner and Alicia Johnson; grandchildren, Remielle, Fenix, Enzo and Valenti, Arielle Turner and Rosalina AnnMarie Hernande; in-laws, Linda (Joe) Arguelles; and brother-in-law, Joe (Bonita) Arguelles Jr.

Alex is preceded in death by his grandma, Lupe Estrada; and grandpa,Louis Estrada; grandma, Juaquina Estrada; and cousin, Tommy Flipse.

Alex worked at Vaughn Industries. He attended Fostoria High School and was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran.

Dad, A friend to so many, everyone knew Alex and the great man that he was. He was known to many as coach. He coached in Findlay for a few years and then started a youth football team in Fostoria alongside his brother Ira; he touched many kids' lives and even parents. To this day, he has what are now grown men who come up to him with such respect and still use the name "coach." He also never missed a coaching opportunity for Alexis. He even earned respect from a bunch of teenage girls with attitude problems. (He loved it and did great) He could coach anything. He was the most selfless and motivating person. He never judged anyone, and he welcomed everyone like family. He loved his family, especially his grandbabies; they were his world, and they loved their pawpaw so much. They certainly will miss the rides in his caddy that he recently got and just loved so much. His wife of 26 years, whom he loved dearly, always said Aug. 2nd is his favorite day of the year (Anna's birthday). He loved to spoil her, and he was nothing short of what a husband should be. He taught his family unconditional love, and he loved hard. The loss of Alex will forever change Anna, Alexis, Gabe and the grandkids. He was truly the greatest man you could ever know and aspire to be. He took care of his family always and always, always had your back. He went through more than he ever deserved. His MS was a terrible disease to live with. We hope that he is dancing with his grandma Lupe, running around with legs that work, and being tackled by his cousin Tommy. We know he is no longer in any pain, and with that, we will find peace. He will be missed so much.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Pastor Viola Recny officiating. Burial will be at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria. Visitation will be from 10-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
