Alan Pingle Obituary
Al Pingle, 63, of Leipsic, died Friday, March 29, 2024, at Ohio State University Wexler Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born July 19, 1960, in Lima, to Robert and Elizabeth (Crawfis) Pingle. He married Jane Schroeder, the daughter of Norm and the late Marilyn Schroeder, on Nov. 9, 1985.
Al is survived by his wife, Jane; three children, Stephanie (Bobby) Rodriguez of Leipsic, Amanda (Adam) Warren of Leipsic, and James (Ana) Pingle of Findlay; two grandchildren, Alivia Warren and Alexis Pingle; and four siblings, Dan (Cheryl) Pingle of Pandora, Dennis (Terry) Pingle of Clinton, Tennessee, Beth (John) Herman of Hinkley, Ohio, and Tim Pingle of Glandorf.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Bart Pingle.
Al was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, and its Holy Name Society. He was employed by Mars Petcare in Leipsic as a scheduler, formerly served on Leipsic Village Council, was on Leipsic Fire Dept., and was a member of Leipsic Eagles. He loved going to Amish country with his wife. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. Al enjoyed traveling to different wineries and Pingle weekends.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, with Fr. Steve Schroeder, Deacon Tom Niese, and Deacon Ben Valdez officiating. Burial will follow at St Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2024, at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic, where a scripture service will be at 1:45 p.m., and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church Parish Life Center.
Memorial donations may be given to charity of the donor's choice.
