Alan Myers Obituary

Alan L. Myers

Alan L. Myers, 78, of Findlay, passed away at Bridge Hospice Care Center Tuesday, August 26, 2025. He was born, in Findlay, June 30, 1947, the son of the late Glen and Grace (Beck) Myers. On January 6, 1967, he married Sherry Reese, who survives in Findlay.

Survivors include his daughters, Nichole (Jeremy) Turner of Findlay and Brook Reyes of Dunkirk; four grandchildren, Skyler, Saige, Cayden, and Paisley; eight great-grandchildren, and one on the way; his brothers, Raymond Myers of Mt. Blanchard, Jerry Myers of Columbus, and Dick Myers of Leipsic; as well as a sister, Kathy Radabaugh of Findlay. Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Ronnie, Mike, Robert, and Denny Myers; and sisters, Kay Fry and Sara Amos.

Alan was a retired postal carrier for 35 years, during which he served as president of the local postal union. He was also a United States Navy veteran, having served in three tours of duty in Vietnam. He was formerly a member of First United Church of Christ, Findlay, where he was a deacon. He was a McComb Athletic Booster and was on the chain gang at McComb High School football games. Alan coached men's fast-pitch softball and girls' slow-pitch and fast-pitch softball in McComb and Findlay.

Visitation for Alan will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the funeral home, with Pastor Dewey Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay, where members of Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad will accord military honors.

Memorial contribu-tions may be directed to Bridge Home, Health, and Hospice or American Cancer Society.
