Virgil Yazzie Obituary
Virgil is survived by his children sons Jethro (Lindsay) Yazzie, and Virgil Nakai Yazzie Jr; Daughter Desira Yazzie; sisters Dora Yazzie, Darlene Yazzie, Lavinia Henry, Bertha Harvey, Doris Coolidge; and brother Taylor Yazzie; 12 grandsons; 4 granddaughters; 2 great-grandsons, 2 great-granddaughters and numerous family members and friends whom he loved.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maggie Jean Harvey; sons Jasper Yazzie and Johnathon Yazzie; sisters Dorothy Pablo and Lorraine Richardson; brothers Douglas Ricky Yazzie, Daniel Ray Yazzie, and Donald Yazzie; father Dick Nakai Yazzie; and mother Sadie Canuto-Yazzie.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Christ the Rock Lutheran Church, 5401 Hood Mesa Trail in Farmington, with Pastor Jon Brohn officiating. Interment will follow at the family cemetery in Carson.
Virgil is in the care of Brewer Lee and Larkin Funeral Home on 103 E Ute St. in Farmington, New Mexico 505-325-8688.
