Sarah "Sally" Mullenax, 85, of Chevy Chase, MD, formerly of Blue Grass, Va., died Wednesday morning, October 10, 1990 in Suburban Hospital in Bethesda.
She was born October 29, 2904 in Blue Grass, a daughter of Salisbury and Margaret (Newman) Mullenax.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and had worked as a practical nurse in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Hilleary of Rockville; sister, Rachael P. Burke of Staunton; brother, Thomas Mullenax of Mt. Sidney; four grandchildren, Stephen, Joseph and Michael Hilleary and Dixie Moore, all of Maryland; and three great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Richard Gibson, with burial in Blue Grass Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be E.T. Sowers, Kay Simmons, Stephen, Joseph and Michael Hilleary and Jack Chestnut.
Honorary pallbearers will be William C. Will, Tommy Newcomb, Jack Simmons, Charles Smiley and friends attending the service.
