Robert A. Thomas of
Warminster, PA passed away on March 8th, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family, in the comfort of his home. He was 81 years old. Robert was born in
Dunlo, PA on February 8, 1945 to the late Donald and Sophia (nee Turk) Thomas. He is preceded in death by his wife of more than 50 years, Claire (Horwath). Robert was the father of Dolores Boland (Brian), David Thomas (Yvonne), and Kimberly Stanley (Ryan); grandfather of Anthony, Allison, Caleb, Lucas, Paige, Christopher, and Elizabeth; great-grandfather of Luka and Nana; brother of Ronald Thomas (late Joanne), Kenneth Thomas (late Suzie), and Melinda Jerome (Terry), and sister-in-law Norma Thomas (John) and brothers-in-law James Patterson (Betty) and William Hudson (Sue). He was preceded in death by his brother John Thomas, and his sisters, Betty Patterson and Marilyn "Sue" Hudson. He is also survived by a loving extended family and friends.
Robert (Bob) was raised in
Sidman, PA and graduated from Adams-Summerhill High School, Class of 1963. He then served in the United States Army from 1965-67, stationed in Ft. Hood, TX during the war. He then moved to Bucks County, PA with his brother John and attended a computer business school and began working for Prudential in 1971. He went on to work there for 27 years, when he took early retirement and filled his time working at Lowe's in Warrington for a few years afterwards.
Bob was a devoted husband and a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather. In his free time, Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, and he loved the outdoors, especially deer hunting and trout fishing, and was a member of Great Swamp Fish and Game in Quakertown. He loved to read his newspapers, do sudoku puzzles, and listen to his favorite music. Bob was known for being humble and kind, and he was always being silly and making jokes and was truly loved by everyone he met.
Relatives and friends are invited to Robert's Life Celebration on Thursday March 26th, 2026 from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM and then on Friday March 27th, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, followed by a service at 11:00 AM at Decker/Givnish Funeral Home, located at 216 York Road,
Warminster, PA 18974. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
