Patricia Joan Behl (Blacklock), affectionately known as Patty Jo or Pat, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, in Noblesville, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family.

Pat was born on August 11, 1939, in Wyoming Township, Michigan, to Thomas and Florence (Rodewald) Blacklock. After the loss of her mother at a young age, Pat had a special place in her heart for her aunt Caroline and uncle Milton Rodewald, who took her in and lovingly raised her for four years before her father remarried. She was then blessed with a devoted stepmother, Grace Blacklock, who became a respected and important part of her family. The love and support Pat received during her childhood helped shape the thoughtfulness, strength, and empathy that would define her throughout her life.

Pat shared 50 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Donald Behl. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and love. She was a devoted mother to Michael (Sharon), Carol (Peter) Bons, and Christopher. She enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a constant, loving presence in their lives.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Behl, her parents Florence and Thomas Blacklock, her stepmother Grace Blacklock, her brothers Emmet and David Blacklock, her son Michael Behl, and her daughter-in-law Sharon Behl.

A woman of deep faith, Pat loved the Lord and was a devoted member of Christ the Lord Lutheran Church in Brookfield, Wisconsin, for over 50 years. She was actively involved in her congregation and served both the church and its school during her younger years.

After raising her children, Pat returned to college, where she earned her teaching degree. She went on to spend more than 20 years as a preschool teacher at the YMCA in Brookfield, where her patience, kindness, and gentle spirit touched many young lives.

Pat loved traveling and being outdoors. She especially enjoyed Destin, Florida, as well as camping, boating, and spending time with family at Green Lake and later at Bass Lake.

Pat will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering compassion. She had a heart of gold and never hesitated to help others, always putting the needs of those around her before her own. Her warmth, faith, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Celebration of Life will be held on February 14th 2026 at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church, 1650 North Brookfield Road, Brookfield, WI 53005. Visitation from 2:30-3:30 pm, with service to follow at 3:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to Christ the Lord Lutheran Church.
