Muriel Jeanette Pinkerton
Loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, peacefully passed at her daughter’s home on January 16, 2026 at the age of 89 with family by her side. Muriel's life was filled with love, dedication and cherished memories.
Born July 5, 1936 in Mahan, WV she was the daughter of the late Troy Preece and Bonnie B. Browning Preece and was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Cletis Pinkerton.
She is survived by loving family members including her daughter, Taunya Bowen and son-in-law Mike Bowen and son, Tim Pinkerton and wife, Tula Pinkerton along with 4 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Also, a brother, Darrell Preece and wife, Francis and sister-in-law Joyce Preece.
Muriel's warmth, kindness and enduring spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for the wisdom and love she shared throughout the generations.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Pastor Delmas Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Park in London, WV.
Friends may call on the family from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, January 23, 2026 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill.
In Lieu of flowers, please donate to Muriel's favorite charity St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
