Katherine Himmel Obituary

Katherine Marie Himmel, age 69, of Warren, Michigan, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026. She was born December 14, 1956, in Royal Oak, Michigan, to the late Duane J. and Shirley A. Himmel.

Katherine, lovingly known as "Kat," graduated from Dondero High School and most recently resided in Warren since 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents and her three siblings, Karen A. Liu, Duane Robert Himmel, and Marie Witkovsky.

She is survived by her devoted brother, Bryan Edward Himmel; her dear aunt Patricia (Dennis) Johnson, uncle Edward (Gwen) Mepham, and aunt Barbara Dell; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will cherish her memory.

Kat will be remembered as a loving, generous, caring, and positive woman who brought warmth and kindness to everyone she met. She always had a smile on her face and found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved cross-stitching, spending time at home with her beautiful cat, Éclair, and especially treasured moments playing and babysitting with her twin great-nieces.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 16, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. Fifteen Mile Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her.
