John proved that being funny wasn´t just about telling jokes - it was about turning ordinary moments into unforgettable ones. Whether it was a perfectly timed one-liner, a ridiculous plan that somehow worked out, or the ability to laugh even when things went sideways, he made life brighter for everyone lucky enough to know him.
Kindness came just as naturally to John as humor. He had the rare ability to make people feel welcome, supported, and valued - often while simultaneously teasing them just enough to keep them humble.
John lived well. He laughed often. He helped people. And he left the world with more stories than most of us could ever hope to collect. The world has lost one of its finest characters.

I worked with John for many years at Addison-Wesley and again at Pearson. He could always make people laugh. He is fondly remembered and sincerely missed.

I knew him as Jack. He was outspoken but told a good joke. He would always leave his cart in the middle of the lane when he stopped to check in at the pro shop before the Monday morning scramble. I would back it into a parking space just to annoy him. He was fun to golf with. Farewell Jack
