62 year old, Jeffrey ‘Jeff’ Baur, of North Judson, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
On June 3, 1963, Jeff was born to Carl and Leslie (Brown) Baur, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He worked for almost 10 years as an officer on the Mason Ohio Police Department, and then worked as the Director of Operations at R&L Carriers. Jeff was a Master Mason from Lake Lodge 157 in Crown Point. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, putt-putt golf, watching TV, reading the Bible, looking at lighthouses, eating Vlassic pickles, loved playing board games with his family, and more than anything being Grandpappy for his grandchildren.
Jeff is survived by his children: Mary (Ryan) Kopka, Dennis Porter, grandchildren: Everett, Eva, sister: Lisa (John) Dysert, niece: Autumn Goedicke, nephew: Derek (Liz) Goedicke, great-nephews: Shaunecy, Emmett, and his favorite ex-wife: Nancy Baur.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Mark Baur, and granddaughter: Ella Kopka.
Per Jeff’s wishes cremation will take place.
