Though I knew Jack in college, I met Michele when she taught in Japan. When she moved to the Cedar Valley, she met Jack and they had many good years together. Sympathy to Rochelle and family on their loss.

Jack was my favorite teacher at elk run in the mid 70s. He always made learning fun and taught all the kids his famous hands behind the back stretch that is so relaxing I still do it to this day. Thank you for everything Jack you will be missed.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Jack. He was very kind and accommodating when we visited in 1997 from England in pursuit of our shared family history. Condolences to Rochelle.

You were the best 1st grade teacher EVER! I always stated you were my favorite whenever asked if I had a favorite teacher. You loved everyone of your students and always let them know it too. Tell we meet again.

Everyone loved Mr Whitchel, kids and parents alike. You could tell he loved his job by the way he made learning fun. He had a good imagination. He went through the trials of losing his wife and raising their daughter alone.
If you ran into him when out and about he was quick to great you and would most likely no your name and children's name. Please let it be known we all felt blessed to know him and call him friend.
