Ethel Taylor, 88, of Springfield, Georgia passed away on February 2, 2026.

Ethel was born November 28, 1937 in Alexander City, Alabama to Gaines Johnson and Ethel McWright.

After high school, Ethel went to work for Providence Hospital in Mobile. She then went on to work at University of South Alabama Medical Center where she retired. She loved working in the hospital helping people.

When Ethel retired, she moved in with her daughter, Jennifer to help raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. This brought her so much joy. She later moved to Georgia with her son, Herbie.

She is loved and will be deeply missed.

Ethel is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herbert Constantine Taylor; daughter, Jennifer Taylor; brothers, Jack, John, Winfield; sisters, Percy, Eunice, Geraldine, Mable, and Catherine.

Ethel leaves behind to cherish her memories her son Constantine (Cynthia) Taylor; 8 grandchildren, Cedric (Brandi) Hutcherson, Catherine (Tristen) Turner, Chadwick (Treyla) Hutcherson, Alyssa Taylor, Constantine Taylor, Timothy Taylor, Kenneth Plummer, Dana Plummer; 13 great grands, Cameron Hutcherson, Carmen Hutcherson, Leilani Hutcherson, Kaiyden Hutcherson, Kairo Hutcherson, Tristen Turner Jr., Taylor Turner, Braylon Taylor, Constantine Taylor III, Avery Plummer, Ricki Calahan; and one sister, Nora Taylor

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 9, 2026 at Families First Funeral Care & Cremation Center, 1328 Dean Forest Road, Savannah, GA 31406.
