Edward J. Ruddy, age 88, of
Conshohocken, PA, passed away on March 8, 2026 at his home with his family. He was the beloved husband of 51 years to Roseanne M. (Caucci) Ruddy. He was born in Bronx, NY on November 25, 1937 to the late Edward and Louise (Boehm) Ruddy. Edward was raised in the Bronx and made his way to the Roxborough section of Philadelphia and eventually settling in Conshohocken in 1975. He spent many years working in the printing industry at National Label Company, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.
Edward was a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan and rarely missed an Eagles or Phillies game. He loved following the teams closely, often keeping track of lineups and meticulously tracking stats while watching the games. One favorite family memory was when he attended an Eagles game and was heckling Steelers legend Mean Joe Greene from the stands - a moment that perfectly captured his passion for football and his larger-than-life personality. Known for being the life of the party, Edward had an unmistakable laugh and a warm smile that could light up a room. He loved spending time in his basement listening to music, watching sports, and working on puzzles, many of which became permanent fixtures throughout the house.
Above all, Edward valued time with family. He remained close with his siblings throughout his life and created many lasting memories with those around him. His sense of humor, love of sports, and larger-than-life personality will be remembered by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife Roseanne, he is survived by three sons Tom Ruddy (Amanda) of Hudsonville, MI, Mike Ruddy (Asha) of Lititz, PA, Ed Ruddy of Pensacola, FL, four grandchildren Luca, Isabella, Mark and Jessica, three siblings Robert Ruddy (Nancy), James Ruddy (Honey), Louise O'Brien (Dave), and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his grandson Tommy Ruddy, his twin brother William Ruddy, and brother John Ruddy.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 516 Fayette St.,
