Carl Louis Hayden, 80, of Sykesville, died Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born April 20, 1945 in Takoma Park, Maryland, he was the son of the late Charles William Hayden and Lillian McQueen Hudson Hayden. He was the devoted husband of Dorothy Ann Hayden. They had been married for 62 years. Carl had retired as a supervisor for the Washington Gas and Light Company. He enjoyed golfing with his lifelong friends, classic cars, yard sales with his childhood friend, auctions and going to Myrtle Beach. He enjoyed most of all spending time with his family. In addition to his wife Dorothy, Carl is survived by his four children and their spouses Bobby and Kris Hayden, Debbie and Mickey Fedor, Denise and Jesse Sampson, Brian and Michele Hayden. He also had twelve amazing grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held for close family and friends at a later date. Such sad news to hear about Carl. Such a great man. He was loved by so many people. He will be missed. I really enjoyed our breakfast get togethers at Golden Corral with family. He would keep us laughing with his stories. The Family is in my Prayers

It is with great sadness to have lost one of the greatest family memebers.. Carl was such a wonderful uncle , father , husband and all around animal lover .. We Keith and myself will miss his laughter and the kind person he was .. Sending Prayers to his family and especially his wife and great Aunt Dottie ... Rip Carl ...
